The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the UPSC National Defence Academy (NDA) & Naval Academy (NA) I Examination 2024. The exam notice number is 03/2022-NDA-I. The application process begins on 20th December 2023, and the last date to apply online is 9th January 2024, up to 6:00 PM. The last date for fee payment and the form modification period is 16th January 2024. The NDA I exam is scheduled for 21st April 2024, with admit cards available from 12th April 2024. The written exam results will be declared on 9th May 2024.

The application fee for General and OBC candidates is 100/-, while SC, ST, and female candidates are exempt from paying the fee. The fee can be paid through net banking, debit card, credit card, or via cash at State Bank of India (SBI) branches using the e-challan fee mode.

The age limit for candidates is between 2nd July 2005 and 1st July 2008, with age relaxation as per the NDA I Exam 2024 rules.

The UPSC NDA & NA I Recruitment 2024 has a total of 400 vacancies. The National Defence Academy has 370 posts, distributed among the Army (208 posts), Navy (42 posts), and Air Force (120 posts). The Naval Academy has 30 posts for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme, available only for male candidates.

Eligibility criteria for the National Defence Academy require candidates to have passed the 10+2 Intermediate Exam from any recognized board. For the Navy and Air Force wings, candidates must have passed or be appearing in the 10+2 Intermediate Exam with Physics and Mathematics as subjects.
