The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Exam 2024 through Advt No 07/2024-IES/ISS. The application process begins on 10/04/2024 and will close on 30/04/2024 at 06:00 PM. Candidates must complete fee payment by 30/04/2024. The correction window is open from 01 to 07 May 2024, and the exam will be held on 21/06/2024. Admit cards will be available from 14/06/2024.
The application fee for General and OBC candidates is 200/-. SC, ST, PH, and all category female candidates are exempted from the fee. Payment can be made through State Bank Net Banking, any bank debit or credit card, or offline via E Challan.
Candidates applying for the UPSC IES ISS Exam 2024 must be between 21 and 30 years old as of 01/08/2024. Age relaxation is applicable as per UPSC recruitment rules.
A total of 48 vacancies are available, with 18 posts for the Indian Economic Service (IES) and 30 posts for the Indian Statistical Service (ISS). Eligibility for IES requires a passed or appearing Post Graduate/Master’s Degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Business Economics, or Econometrics from a recognized university in India. For ISS, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, or Applied Statistics as one of the subjects, or a master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, or Applied Statistics.
Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply online within the specified dates for a chance to join the prestigious Indian Economic Service or Indian Statistical Service.
