The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the UPSC Combined Defence Service Exam II Recruitment 2024. The UPSC CDS II Advt No. 11/2024 provides an opportunity for eligible candidates to join the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, and Officers Training Academy.

The application process begins on 15th May 2024 and ends on 4th June 2024. Candidates must complete Part II and the entire application form by 4th June 2024. Corrections in the application form can be made between 5th and 11th June 2024. The exam is scheduled for 1st September 2024, and admit cards will be available before the exam date.

The application fee is 200/- for General, OBC, and EWS candidates, while SC, ST, and female candidates are exempted from the fee. The fee can be paid through debit card, credit card, net banking, or via E-Challan.

To be eligible for the UPSC CDS II Exam 2024, candidates must meet the following criteria: For the Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Officers Training Academy (OTA), a Bachelor’s degree in any stream is required. For the Indian Naval Academy, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is necessary. For the Air Force Academy, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any stream with Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level. The age limit as of 1st July 2025 is between 20 and 24 years, with age relaxation as per rules.

The UPSC CDS II Recruitment 2024 offers a total of 459 vacancies. The Indian Military Academy (IMA) has 100 vacancies, the Indian Naval Academy has 32 vacancies, the Air Force Academy has 32 vacancies, and the Officers Training Academy (OTA) has 295 vacancies.
