The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced the Bihar State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2024 under Advertisement No. 442/2023. Applications will be accepted starting from 14th December 2023, with the final date for online submission being 1st March 2024. The exam for Paper I will be held from 18th to 29th May 2024, while Paper II will take place from 11th to 20th June 2024. Admit cards will be available before the exam dates. Answer keys for Paper I and Paper II will be released on 11th July 2024 and 17th July 2024, respectively.

The application fee for a single paper is INR 960 for General, BC, and EWS categories, and INR 760 for SC, ST, and PH candidates. For both papers, the fee is INR 1440 for General, BC, and EWS categories, and INR 1140 for SC, ST, and PH candidates. The exam fee should be paid through online modes only, including debit card, credit card, or net banking.

The age limit for candidates applying for the Bihar STET 2024 is between 21 and 37 years for males and 21 and 40 years for females as of 1st August 2024, with age relaxation as per BSEB STET 2024 rules.

Eligibility criteria for Paper I (Secondary) include having a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed degree, or a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with a B.Ed degree, or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a minimum of 45% marks as per NCTE norms along with a B.Ed degree, or a 4-year integrated BA B.Ed or BSc B.Ed course. For Paper II (Senior Secondary), candidates must have a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with 50% marks and a B.Ed degree or BA BEd/BSc BEd, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 45% marks as per NCTE norms along with a B.Ed degree, or a Master’s degree with 55% marks and a 3-year B.Ed MEd course.

When filling out the BSEB STET 2024 online form, candidates must provide a recent passport-sized photograph with a white or light background, a scanned copy of their signature, and documents including Class 10th and 12th certificates, Bachelor’s and Master’s degree certificates, B.Ed exam certificates, and any other relevant qualifications or category certificates, if applicable.
