The Indian Coast Guard is inviting applications for the position of Assistant Commandant for the 02/2024 Batch. This recruitment drive, Advt No CGCAT 02/2024, offers a total of 46 vacancies across different posts including General Duty, Technical, and Law Entry.

The application process begins on 01/09/2023 and will remain open until 24/09/2023, closing at 5:00 PM. The Stage I exam is scheduled for December 2023, with exam dates and city details available from 22/11/2023. Admit cards will be accessible 48-72 hours before the exam, and the result will be announced on 20/12/2023. Stage II of the exam is set for January 2024.

The application fee is 250/- for General, OBC, and EWS candidates. SC and ST candidates are exempt from paying the fee. Payment can be made through debit card, credit card, net banking, or other available modes.

The recruitment offers a total of 46 posts, distributed as follows: 25 for General Duty, 20 for Technical, and 1 for Law Entry.

Eligibility criteria for General Duty include a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 60% marks and having Maths and Physics as subjects at the 10+2 level. Applicants must be male and aged between 21-25 years as of 01/07/2023. For Commercial Pilot CPL SSA, candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with 60% marks and possess a valid Commercial Pilot License from DGCA. Both male and female candidates aged 19-25 years are eligible.

Technical Mechanical applicants require a BE or B.Tech degree in specific engineering disciplines with a minimum of 60% marks and Maths and Physics at the 10+2 level. The age limit is 21-25 years for male candidates. For Technical Electrical/Electronics, a degree in relevant engineering fields with 60% marks is required, along with Maths and Physics at the 10+2 level. Male candidates aged 21-25 years are eligible.

For Law Entry, candidates need a Bachelor’s Degree in Law with at least 60% marks. Both male and female candidates aged 21-30 years can apply.
