The Indian Airforce has announced the AFCAT 02/2024 and NCC Special Entry recruitment. This opportunity is open for both male and female candidates who meet the eligibility criteria. The recruitment process will fill a total of 277 posts.
Important dates for the application process are as follows: applications begin on 30th May 2024 and the last date to apply online is 28th June 2024 up to 11:30 PM. The last date to pay the exam fee is also 28th June 2024. The exam date will be as per the schedule and admit cards will be available before the exam.
The application fee for AFCAT Entry is 550 for all candidates, while NCC Special and Meteorology Entry have no application fee. Payment can be made through debit card, credit card, net banking, or e-challan.
The age limit as of 1st July 2025 is 20-24 years for AFCAT Flying Batch and 20-26 years for Ground Duty Technical/Non-Technical. For NCC Special and Meteorology Entry, age-related queries should be referred to the notification.
The vacancy details for AFCAT 02/2024 recruitment are divided into various categories. For AFCAT Flying, there are 29 posts with 18 for males and 11 for females. AFCAT Ground Duty Technical AE (L) has 111 posts with 88 for males and 23 for females. AE (M) has 45 posts with 36 for males and 9 for females. For Ground Duty Non-Technical, Admin has 54 posts, LGS has 17 posts, and Accounts has 12 posts. Education has 9 posts, and Weapon Systems WS Branch has 17 posts. Meteorology Entry has 10 posts. NCC Special Entry for Flying has 10% seats out of CDSE vacancies for PC and 10% seats out of AFCAT vacancies for SSC.
Eligibility details vary by branch. For Flying, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any stream with physics and mathematics at 10+2 level or a B.E/B.Tech degree. Ground Duty Technical requires a 10+2 intermediate with minimum 60% marks in physics and math and a 4-year graduation degree in engineering or technology. For Ground Duty Non-Technical, administration and logistics require a bachelor’s degree in any stream with at least 60% marks and physical eligibility criteria. Accounts require a bachelor’s degree in commerce with at least 60% marks and physical eligibility criteria. NCC Special Entry requires an NCC Air Wing Senior Division C certificate.
