The Border Security Force (BSF) has announced the recruitment for various Group B and Group C posts in the Water Wing department for 2024. This recruitment drive is known as Rectt BSF Water Wing Exam 2024.

The application process begins on 02/06/2024, and the last date to apply online is 01/07/2024. The examination fee can also be paid until 01/07/2024. The examination date will be scheduled as per the BSF’s announcement, and admit cards will be available before the exam.

The application fee for the Sub Inspector (SI) post is 247.20/- for General, OBC, and EWS categories and 47.2/- for SC, ST, PH, and all female candidates. For all other posts, the fee is 147.20/- for General, OBC, and EWS categories and 47.2/- for SC, ST, PH, and all female candidates. The fee can be paid through Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.

Candidates must meet the age criteria as on 01/07/2024. For the Sub Inspector SI position, the age limit is 22-28 years. For Head Constable and Constable positions, the age limit is 20-25 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per the BSF Group B & C Various Post Recruitment 2024 Rules.

There are a total of 164 vacancies for various posts. For the Sub Inspector SI Master position, there are 7 posts available. Candidates must have passed the 10+2 Intermediate Exam from any recognized board in India and hold a Second Class Master Certificate from the Water Transport Authority or Mercantile Marine Department. For the Sub Inspector SI Engine Driver position, there are 4 posts available, requiring a First Class Master Certificate from the Water Transport Authority or Mercantile Marine Department.

For the Head Constable HC Master position, there are 35 posts available. Candidates must have passed the Class 10th Matric Exam and hold a Serang Certificate. For the Head Constable HC Engine Driver position, there are 57 posts available, requiring a 2nd Class Engine Driver Certificate. The Head Constable HC Workshop position has 13 posts available, requiring an ITI Diploma in relevant trades. The Constable Crew position has 46 posts available, requiring Class 10th Matric Exam with 1 year of experience in boat operation and the ability to swim in deep water without assistance. Additionally, there are 2 posts for Assistant Commandant (Water Wing), requiring a Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or Automobile Engineering.
