Banaras Hindu University (BHU Varanasi) has announced the BHU School Entrance Test (BHU SET) Online Form 2024. The application process begins on February 20, 2024, and ends on March 20, 2024. The last date to pay the exam fee is March 20, 2024. Online correction is available from March 21 to March 27, 2024. The admit cards will be released on April 11, 2024, and the exams will be held from April 29 to May 3, 2024. The e-lottery result will be declared on April 7, 2024, and the SET result on June 5, 2024.
The application fee for the e-lottery is 750 for General/OBC/EWS and 500 for SC/ST candidates. For the entrance test, the fee is 800 for General/OBC/EWS and 550 for SC/ST candidates. Payment can be made through debit card, credit card, net banking, or e-challan.
Admissions for LKG, Nursery, Class 1, and Class 6 are based on age calculated as of March 31, 2024. For Class 9 and Class 11, age is also calculated as of March 31, 2024.
The admission details are as follows:
- LKG: Age 4-5 years, through e-lottery, 120 seats, DOB should not be before March 31, 2019, and after March 31, 2020.
- Nursery: Age 5-6 years, through e-lottery, 40 seats, DOB should not be before March 31, 2018, and after March 31, 2019.
- Class 1: Age 6-8 years, through e-lottery, 40 seats, DOB should not be before March 31, 2016, and after March 31, 2018.
- Class 6: Age 10-12 years, through e-lottery, 150 seats, must have passed Class V, DOB should not be before March 31, 2012, and after March 31, 2014.
- Class 9: Age 13-15 years, exam date June 26, 2024, 110 seats, must have passed Class VIII.
- Class 11 (Math): Max age 18, exam date June 21, 2024, 104 seats, must have above 50% marks.
- Class 11 (Biology): Max age 18, exam date June 22, 2024, 42 seats, must have above 50% marks.
- Class 11 (Commerce): Max age 18, exam date June 25, 2024, 37 seats, must have above 40% marks.
- Class 11 (Arts): Max age 18, exam date June 24, 2024, 52 seats, must have passed Class 10.
